The Archetype of The Lovers: The yearning for union is a basic human drive. We see it expressed in romantic love, in religious & spiritual practices, in political causes, in creativity, in the search for self. The desire to give over to something larger than our individual personae, to be swept up & embraced by a Beloved, by a Muse, a God or Goddess, to lose ourselves & become more than who we are, is shared by all humans. Internally, it can be viewed as the motion towards uniting parts of the self that we feel are separate or other than ourselves. It is an dance with shadow, with all that we can become, a movement towards wholeness & grace. Embrace & be kind to your loved one, your self, & your passion for union! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Remember Your Dreams! Tip #2
Keep a pen & paper or journal by your bed, within easy reach.
If you can’t write out your Dreams, you can talk them into a recorder, & transcribe them later.
Keep a small notebook & pen with you at all times to jot down any Dream fragments that come to you during the day, or use a memo app on your phone.
When you wake up, if the Dream’s right there, record it immediately.
If the Dream’s not there, don’t move, or only move enough to keep from falling back asleep, & wait. Allow the Dream to return to you. Don’t think about remembering it – it will wake you up to daily consciousness too much – just be receptive & welcoming to the Dream.
Jot down anything that you get: a color, a scent, a mood, a word, a person. This may trigger recall of the Dream now or later in the day. Even if it doesn’t, it gets you in the habit of recording whatever you bring with you from sleep.
Remember Your Dreams! Tip #1
#1. INTENTION. Make a conscious decision to remember your dreams, & remind yourself of your decision. Think of it now & then throughout the day. Before going to sleep, Write “I am remembering & recording my dreams” (present tense!) in your Dream Journal; read & repeat the phrase out loud 3 times, & carry the intention with you into sleep.
